A Message from Steve Gilbert, City Manager
Welcome to the City of Stroud's website. We are pleased to use the latest technology to provide information about your City's innovative local government operations.  The City of Stroud has a Council-Manager form of government in which the elected Mayor and City Council members establish policy.  Those policies are then implemented by the City Manager who is appointed by, and reports to, the City Council.  The City Manager operates much in the same way that a Chief Executive Officer of a corporation does.  The City Manager's Office is responsible for the day-to-day administration of Stroud's city government, including managing the city's budget, the city's departments and operations, and programs for communicating with residents and employees.

Statement of Purpose and Values

The following reflects what we believe in and the reasons we exist:

Purpose

The City of Stroud is committed to growing our community by providing responsive services that enhance our public safety, infrastructure and quality of life.

Values

  1. Our actions will reflect our total commitment to ethics, integrity, pride, hard work, and leadership by example.
  2. We will provide visionary leadership focused on supporting the highest quality, competitively priced, and efficiently delivered services to our customers.
  3. We will build partnerships with our customers, elected officials, employees, co-workers and others to transform Stroud and create a prosperous community future.
  4. We respect and support the changing needs of our customers, their elected representatives and our employees. We value their abilities and contributions to making Stroud the standard - in every respect - by which all other cities are measured.

Public Participation and Customer Service

The City Manager's Office provides leadership and oversees the operations of all City departments as we focus on meeting the needs and exceeding the expectations of our citizen customers.  We encourage and promote citizen participation in their local government.  The City Manager's Office, along with all City departments, strives to provide the public with information about City projects, considerations before City Council, and other issues that impact our community.
