The City of Stroud strives to continue to create ways the public has easier access to the open records of the city. Staff will continue to work towards allowing more access to open records through the internet. In the meantime, if you have any questions or want to review any records, please feel free to come by City Hall and we will do everything in our power to accommodate your request.

Accessing Open Records

Most records maintained by the city are open for inspection and/or copying by individuals under the Oklahoma Open Record Act. The act does not apply to records specifically required by law to be kept confidential.

Request a Record

Records may be available for copying or viewing during business hours by contacting the city clerk at (918)-987-0226. The following will need to be completed before viewing open records:

  • Request for open record form needs to be filled out and signed
  • Reasonably identify the records needed / requested
  • Include mailing address, phone number, or other means to contact you regarding request
  • Send request by faxing it to (918) 968-3613, by email, or by bringing it to City Hall at
    220 W. 2nd Street
    Stroud, Oklahoma 74079

Fees

The city charges a fee to cover the cost of staff time at $15.00 per hour per employee, with a minimum charge of $3.75, and the cost of copying or reproducing records. Generally, the charge is $0.25 per page.
