1. What are the business hours of City Hall?

8:00AM – 4:00 Monday through Friday
Open during the Lunch Hour

2. Where do I go to get utility services (electric, water, sewer, and trash)?

The Utility office is 220 W. 2nd Street, Stroud, OK 74079.

3. What do I need to do to get utility service?

You will need to fill out a Contract for Service and provided a photo ID.

4. Is a deposit required?

Yes, no service will be connected until deposit requirements are met.

5. Do I have to pay a deposit even though I currently have service in City of Stroud?

Yes, each individual service requires its own deposit.

6. When is my bill due?

Your bill is due on the 10th of each month unless the 10th falls on a weekend or holiday then it due the next business day.

7. When do you start meter reading?

On the 10th of each month or the first business day after the 10th of the month.

8. When do bills go out?

The last working day of the month.

9. When are penalties added to the utility bill?

At 5:00PM on the 10th day of the month unless it falls on a weekend and then it will be at 5:00PM that following Monday.

10. What is the late fee for a late utility bill?

7% of the billed amount.

11. What is the Deposit Utility Services?

With a good letter of credit $75.00. It will be $150.00 with no letter of credit. See more on the Utilities page.

12. What Day of the week is trash scheduled to be picked up?

Everybody North of Main Street is on Wednesday, Everybody South of Main Street is on Thursday. Commercial Pickup runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday depending on the requirements of the business.

13. Who takes care of the trash service?

Central Disposal is contracted through the City of Stroud to pick up trash throughout town. If you have any problems or need to request trash service please call City Hall at (918) 968-2571.
